SIRS-Lab and DxS enter into licensing Agreement for the Application of Scorpions Technology in Sepsis Test SIQNATURE
Jena, September 22, 2008 SIRS-Lab GmbH and DxS Ltd today announced that they entered into an EU-wide in-licensing agreement for the Scorpions Technology including an option for worldwide IVD utilization. With the selection of the PCR platform technology, SIRS-Lab completes the technical design of its sepsis prediction and monitoring test SIQNATURE. The first-in-class test is now accessible for selected scientific experts and will be fully available in 2009.

SIRS-Lab fosters Sepsis Research
Jena, September 04, 2008 SIRS-Lab today announced to foster clinical research- and exchange projects at the medical faculty of the University Jena. The “Young Investigator Award Clinical Microbiology” will be assigned by the Medical Faculty of the Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena for a project in the field in microbiological diagnostics of sepsis or severe infections. The Clinic for Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy applies the funds for the scientific exchange with guest-researchers. With the funding, SIRS-Lab wants to recognize outstanding achievements of young scientists in sepsis research.

SIRS-Lab pre-announces biomarker based sepsis test
Jena, June 29, 2008 SIRS-Lab introduces a new diagnostic concept for the early prediction and reliable monitoring of sepsis. The molecular diagnostic test “SIQNATURE” delivers the earliest possible information about the potential development of a systemic infection. It further is a unique tool to monitor the progression of sepsis. The concept is introduced to the medical community at the International Shock Congress in Cologne. Clinical multicenter trials will mark the projected scientific launch of the routine test in late 2008.

Innovation from Jena wins three awards
Jena, June 20, 2008 Yesterday, the SIRS-Lab GmbH and the Institute for Medical Microbilogy at the Jena University were jointly awarded with the IQ Innovation Award of central Germany. Additionally, the company and its partners received the Cluster Award “Biotechnology and Lifescience” and the regional Award of Jena.

Jena, November 16, 2007 SIRS-Lab’s proprietary technology incorporated in VYOO and LOOXSTER resulted from the close R&D network of the company. Together with the University Hospital Jena and the University of Applied Science Jena, the company developed these assets which received the federal Innovation Award of Thuringia.
