PD Dr. Thomas Vogl from the University in Münster, Germany, received the "Hugo Schottmüller Award" from the German Sepsis Society. The Award donated by SIRS-Lab values excellent achievements in basic research about sepsis. Hugo Schottmüller was the first to define the Sepsis as clinical disease in 1914.

SIRS-Lab receives CE approval for sepsis test VYOO and unfolds full clinical potential

SIRS-Lab today announced that the EU regulatory authorities have granted the CE mark for VYOO. With VYOO, clinicians can rapidly and reliably identify causative pathogens as well as important antibiotic resistance markers. The CE mark will accelerate the implementation of VYOO into clinical routine throughout Europe.

Three Innovation Awards for SIRS-Lab

SIRS-Lab GmbH and the Institute for Medical Microbilogy from the Jena University were jointly awarded with the IQ Innovation Award of central Germany. Additionally, the company and its partners received the cluster award “Biotechnology and Lifescience” and the regional award of Jena. The prize is awarded by the German Sepsis Society for exceptional achievements in Sepsis research. At the 3rd International Congress Sepsis and Multiorgan Dysfunction in Weimar, Dr. S. Wirtz from the University Hospital Mainz, Germany, received this year’s award which is endowed by SIRS-Lab with 3000 Euro.
